Baltic Postcolonialism and the Critics: An AnalysisVioleta Kelertas. Postcolinialism as a method has started to find a resonance among critics both in the West and in the Balitic countries. How they apply the methods developed by others ( Bhabha, Spivak et al.) to their specific material is surveyed and then analysed to foreground which categories fit, which concepts have to be refined and adapted to present a nuanced view of the particular historical, political and psychological context found in the Baltic States, especially since the last colonization of fifty some years , but with some reference to previous centuries.
