Global Diversity- From Economic Divides to Digital Divides

Entropy as a measure of diversity is applied to economic trade and global Internet diffusion data to measure and analyze regional diversities in examining the economic divide and its implications on the digital divide. Seven global regions are analyzed. The study covers data from the years of 1962, 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000. Synchronic as well as diachronic trends are then discusses.
